THE BUZZ: OnLive, the video game streaming service, recently announced that Google TV users will gain the ability to play games on their Google TV devices. Currently, users can use the OnLive Viewer to simply watch OnLive users play games and view older gaming clips. OnLive wants game playing functionality in both old and new Google TV devices. With the ability to control OnLive with your Google TV remote, OnLive controller, or a USB controller, they are setting themselves to as broad a market as possible in the Google TV arena.

EGM’s TAKE: OnLive is an intriguing option for gamers without high end gaming rigs. Google TV is a great option for people looking to use the internet on their big screen TVs. This marriage makes perfect sense.
