Blizzard has released the official opening cinematic for StarCraft II‘s upcoming expansion Heart of the Swarm.

Last month Blizzard invited all players who had pre-purchased the expansion before December 18 to join the ongoing closed beta, and promised to add pre-purchasers after that date in waves.

StarCraft II: Heart of the Swarm is scheduled to release March 12. Collector’s and Digital Deluxe Editions of the expansion are currently available to pre-purchase.
