Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time

Who is Sly Cooper? That’s the question this new trailer for Sony’s upcoming PS3 and PS Vita release Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time looks to answer.

Releases like Thieves in Time are interesting to me. Sly Cooper came to exist during an era when “mascot platformer” games were all the rage, but it’s a genre that seems to have really died down in popularity over time. And yet, Sony continues to keep those mascot characters like Sly and Ratchet around for new adventures. I don’t say that as a negative, mind you—while I’m not really a fan of these types of games, I’m glad to see companies still believing in them for those players who are.

Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time hits on February 5th, 2013 for the PlayStation 3 and Vita. Even better, the game is cross-buy, so if you purchase it on one platform, you’ll get it for both.
