Halo

I had a chance recently to go hands-on with Halo Wars 2, and part of my time with the game was spent getting my butt kicked in a 3v3 Team Deathmatch game.

Choosing the “turtle” strategy, I admit to spending far too long collecting resources and slowly building my forces up. I was the first of my team to fall in this game, but as you’ll see, once Atriox’s secret weapon took the field, there was little me and my team could do.

One interesting aspect of the video, though, is you get to see some of the skill trees in action, as well as my avatar, Professor Anders, who conveys the benefit of cheaper buildings and units. Atriox, however, had an almost unfair vampire ability, which gave his units their health back the more damage they did. Feel free to watch all the carnage unfold below.

Halo Wars 2 is due out February 21 for Xbox One and PC. For more on Halo Wars 2, check out our Blitz mode video, and don’t forget about the Blitz open beta starting on January 20.
