Soulcalibur

I had a chance recently to head up to San Francisco and attend Bandai Namco’s 2018 New Year Showcase and check out a very early build of Soul Calibur VI on PC with an Xbox One controller. Although I didn’t get any more details on the game’s story mode, I did get a chance to try out some of the new Soul Charge and Critical Edge maneuvers, and play with six characters—four of which previously unconfirmed—on a pair of stages. Long time Soul Calibur veterans Kilik, Xianghua, and Nightmare officially join the roster alongside the previously revealed Mitsurugi and Sophitia. We also get a brand new character named Groh. You can see them all in action in our video below.

Soul Calibur VI will release sometime in 2018 for Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
