Apart from its scandalous and boundary-pushing reveal trailers, Bethesda and MachineGames’ Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus has been gaining player attention through new gameplay footage. Recently, we were able to explore the opening stage’s unique wheelchair escape, and now Bethesda has invited EGM back for more Nazi-killing action in a new area.

I was able to get hands-on time on Xbox One with the New Orleans mission during a preview event from the publisher, seen below. Joining me on commentary for the high-octane footage is associate editor and Wolfenstein fan Michael Goroff.

While the gameplay is focused around New Orleans, many of the recently announced new abilities, like stilts and wall-breaking, are shown off in the 30-minutes of footage. There’s even a surprise segment of the gameplay that shows off more of the creative and exciting ways MachineGames is bringing players back to the series’ twisted rewritten history.

Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus launches for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on October 27th, with a Nintendo Switch version arriving in 2018.
