I had a chance to go hands-on with the first hour of Forza Horizon 3 at a recent event put on by Microsoft here in Los Angeles.
In this initial 60 minutes, which you can watch below, I took on a role we haven’t seen yet from the Horizon spin-off series of Forza. Instead of just participating in the Horizon festival, or being the top dog, I was part of the promotions team, trying to grow the festival and gather as many race fans as possible in Australia. I could choose what cities the festival would spread to alongside what events I would participate in, using my fame and racing proficiency to help drive up attendance. The game also handled just as smoothly as you would expect from anything in the Forza series, and looked unbelievably gorgeous.
Forza Horizon 3 will be available on September 27 for Xbox One, but the game’s new demo is available as of today.
