Assassin's Creed

I recently had a chance to go hands-on with an extended preview of Assassin’s Creed Origins up at Ubisoft event in San Francisco. In this demo, we were dropped into the sandals of a level 12 Bayek who has just met with Cleopatra. In this meeting, she basically explains who the Order of the Ancients are, and why Bayek must eliminate them. The first target on our list is a man known only as “The Scarab”.

In the video below, we were able to explore what is only a small section of the Egypt that Ubisoft Montreal has crafted for this game. We tackle a variety of side quests and the first mission in the story chapter that will eventually lead us to confronting The Scarab.

The game is looking absolutely gorgeous so far, even in this incomplete build. I also got a good opportunity to really see a lot of the new RPG-inspired systems Origins will introduce to Assassin’s Creed, and as I explain in the video, some of them I liked, and some of them I have doubts about.

Assassin’s Creed Origins will drop on October 27 for Xbox One, PS4, and PC. Footage was captured on an Xbox One X.
