Deadmau5 Loses his Vita in a Cab

THE BUZZ: DJ Deadmau5, who performed at the Spike TV Video Game Awards, and will be featured on the Vita exclusive Sound Shapes, apparently left his Vita demo unit in a cab on his way home from the award show last night. He tweeted:
F—! I left my PSP Vita in a f—– cab, calling cab company and they say they have like 500 dispatched now. Gunna be a long night…

Deadmau5 was apparently the only non developer that had a Sony Vita outside of Sony’s company walls. Subsequent tweets seemed to show Deadmau5 resigned to losing his Vita forever.
EGM’s TAKE: Sorry, we can’t give our take right now we are busy on the phone with every cab company on the West Coast. We… uh lost our watch. On a slightly more serious note, this could have been the best thing to happen to Sony. With the handheld market this holiday going to Nintendo and the 3DS, it can benefit Sony to have a Vita in the wild, demanding a buzz from outrageous asking prices on eBay. On second thought if this was a plant by Sony, it’s absolutely genius.
