Square Enix Registers Domains for ‘Blood Masque’

The domain hounds over at Fusible spotted some new names registered by Square Enix: bloodmasque.com and bloodmasque.net.

Fusible reports these domains were registered very, very recently—January 29, 2013.

“Unfortunately we are unable to make a comment,” a Square Enix representative told Game Informer when asked about the domains.

In Edgar Allen Poe’s short story “The Masque of the Red Death,” there’s a plague called the Red Death that causes victims to sweat blood. Assuming this short story is the inspiration for Blood Masque, m’best guess is that it will have a gothic setting, and maybe feature vampires or some kind of red-masked supernatural entity.
