Nintendo has released a new trailer for Animal Crossing 3DS, which includes a special introduction from company president Satoru Iwata.

Players will arrive in town by train, as usual, except this time around there’s more to do than ever before. In the game you take on the role as mayor which offers the ability to place benches, lamps and clocks around town. Solar panels have also been added to the game.

Player’s bodies are now larger allowing for more clothing options to be made available. The size of the town’s inhabitants has also been adjusted, with some being smaller than you and other towering above you. A new model home area has been added to the game which displays the homes of other players that you meet via StreetPass.
