Sunset Overdrive’s extensive character customization options will let players be whoever they want to be, according to developer Insomniac Games.

“Live out your end-of-times fantasies and be who YOU want to be,” the video’s description reads. “You’re the hero after all, right? Play as male or female, with multiple body types and skin tones, and mix all sorts of completely gender neutral apparel, hair and body art customizations in whatever combination you want.”

Players are free to mix and match outfits from three separate styles: mainstream, street, and costume. All gear is completely cosmetic and has no bonuses attached to it to avoid the pressure of equipping certain gear for stat reasons. Outfits and customizations selected in the single-player can be carried over to the eight-player co-op multiplayer mode Chaos Squad.

You can check out a few examples of what’s possible with the game’s customization system in the video above.

Sunset Overdrive is set to launch October 28 exclusively for Xbox One.
