Take a look at Halo 2′s remastered Lockout map in action

Posted on August 29, 2014 AT 08:59am

Yesterday, it was announced that the Lockout map from Halo 2 would be joining the list of maps that are getting the remastered treatment for Halo: The Master Chief Collection, and now you can take a look at the map in action.

“Lockout was hands-down the most popular small arena-style map in Halo 2. We’re thrilled to be bringing this fan-favorite back, and are paying close attention to the details and subtleties that made the original great while also making a couple of very careful, very calculated enhancements,” Max Hoberman, the lead designer on Halo 2 said.

“Most prominent among these are a bit of cover added to the ‘Elbow,’ the long walkway connecting the grav lift to the sniper tower, and a dynamic element that should help counter an entrenched group of enemies. Of course this can be disabled in Forge for players who want a near-match of the original experience.”

Lockout joins the Halo 2 maps Zanzibar, Sanctuary, Coagulation, and Ascension, which are all being remastered for the collection.

Halo: The Master Chief Collection is set to launch November 11 exclusively on Xbox One.
