Assassin’s Creed III Multiplayer Story Teased and Gameplay Shown in New Trailer
Posted on July 26, 2012 AT 02:58am

Information about Assassin’s Creed III‘s multiplayer story has been revealed thanks to a new in-universe trailer.
The footage appeared on GameTrailers last night, but was quickly yanked back down. However, the trailer is still available on YouTube, for now. The game’s multiplayer offering is being described as an Abstergo training exercise, which has been made possible thanks to the company creating commercial models of the Animus, allowing anyone to join in the fun.
Gameplay footage in the trailer shows off the new Arctic map, along with a few details about the game’s new mode, Wolfpack–a co-op assassination mode. Several returning modes were also spotted, Wanted, Manhunt, Artifact Assault, Team Deathmatch, and Capture the Flag. A number of challenges can also be seen in the video, such as “Drive the Car,” “Open the can,” and “Meet Ted.”
Finally, a section of the menu labeled “Story Quest” includes a road map of “future initiatives,” story-based files which unlock as you level up, similar to the Templar-based story information from Assassin’s Creed: Revelations.
You can find the trailer below, while it’s still available.
