Deep Silver has released a new gameplay trailer for Dead Island: Riptide that shows just how quickly things can take a turn for the worst on a zombie infested island.

The original characters were rescued from Banoi at the end of the first game, and the trailer below shows how they were brought to a military ship and then promptly placed under arrest. It’s from this moment that things quickly go from bad to worse as the ship crashes into the rocks leaving them stranded once again.

Dead Island: Riptide is set to release April 23 in the U.S. and April 26 in Europe for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC.
