Square Enix has released a brand new developer diary for Hitman: Absolution which focuses on the importance of dynamic audio in the game.
Thomas Bärtschi, audio director at developer IO Interactive explains the amount of effort that has gone into the game’s audio to immerse the player during play sessions. It appears that the development team has taken audio very seriously in Hitman: Absolution something that other developers tend to gloss over. The only problem is that if the gameplay isn’t there then amazing audio will count for nothing, so hopefully the team spent just as much time on both areas.
