Halo 4

THE BUZZ: Properly done sound effects are terribly under valued in the video game industry. It’s an aspect of gaming that is rarely thought about because it usually works so well, but is completely missed when someone completely misses the mark. 343 Industries is hard at work on Halo 4, and with that they are working to bring real life gun sounds to your surround system. Recording military grade weapons in action is nothing new for the industry, but seeing footage the guns in action is still incredibly cool.

EGM’s TAKE: We didn’t need anything else to get us excited about Halo 4, yet this brings our anticipation up a notch. We can’t wait to reunite with Master Chief and take out our pistol and one shot enemies, just like the good old days. From what we see in the video we have a grenade launcher, a standard assault rifle and a 16 Cal. turret gun.
