THE BUZZ: Battlefield 3 fansite battlefieldo.com posted a screengrab of what appears to be a login for the Battlefield 3 Open Beta. While we have not been able to confirm its authenticity, the timing seems right for a multiplayer beta. As one of the season’s most anticipated games, shooter fans have been drooling over each and every morsel of information DICE and EA have doled out. Let’s hope this leak, like the screens and footage from last weekend, turns out to be true.

EGM’s TAKE: ‘Tis the season for beta-tests, and we wouldn’t be surprised if Battlefield 3 has one coming. But whether this is a sample of the login screen, or a fanboy having a laugh remains to be seen. Either way, it got our attention and will have us dreaming of headshots tonight.
