I must acquire all of the familiars, craft every item and win every arena battle! I'm looking for a 12 step program, but I'm having difficulty finding one that will accept me. I love a good kart-racing game; in fact, Mario Kart 7 was one of my holiday highlights. Unfortunately, I never achieved that joyous and carefree feeling with ModNation Racers on the PS3. I hoped the tweaks made with the handheld follow-up, ModNation Racers: Road Trip would propel the game to must-play status, but I’m sorry to report that just isn’t the case. READ MORE

The first Shank took me to a happy place. I’ve long lamented the disappearance of the 2D side-scrolling brawler, and the cartoony-yet-überviolent digital release took me back to favorites like Double Dragon and Streets of Rage. Shank 2 picks up where the original left off, with the same crisp art style, fast-paced action, and absurdly awesome combo system, while providing enough polish to keep fans of the original happy. Star Wars: The Old Republic is easily the largest game I’ve ever reviewed in more than 20 years of covering games. At first, it felt like a daunting task—assigning a score to a game of this scope.
