At a Junction Point event earlier this week in Austin, Texas, company president and creative director Warren Spector had an unexpected, shocking revelation for the gaming industry. No, it wasn’t the fact that Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two exists—that, as Spector joked, was one of the worst-kept secrets in the industry. When developers talk about the new versions of their games, they talk of adding features, polished updates, and promises to fix what might've been broken in years prior. But this is not a year for iteration for FIFA 12. "Rather than tell you what were polishing, were coming out a bit more aggressive on revolution than evolution," lead producer David Rutter declares as he prepares to show off a first look at the game at EA Canadas offices in Vancouver. But while his next adventure reunites the Amazing Spider-Man version with his future counterpart, Miguel "Spider-Man 2099" OHara, Beenox creative director Grard Lehiany quickly points out that the upcoming Spider-Man: Edge of Time isnt a Dimensions sequel.
