EGM Review:
Batman: Arkham City

By
Posted on October 18, 2011 AT 01:19pm
Comic book fans are easily some of the most rabid fans out there. Maybe it’s because of the history, maybe it’s the appeal of the characters, maybe it’s because of a lack of social skills developed in their mom’s basement, but whatever the reason, whenever something features comic book characters, the fans tear it apart. Well, good luck finding fault with this one. And trust me, being a fan myself, I tried. Check out our full review of Batman: Arkham City here! READ MORE

EGM Review:
Dead Rising 2: Off the Record

By
Posted on October 11, 2011 AT 12:23pm
When a zombie outbreak hit Fortune City, the quiet, stoic Chuck Greene saved the day. But he was no Frank West—the photojournalist extraordinaire who saved the Willamette Parkview Mall in the original Dead Rising. Greene didn’t tote around the swagger, charisma, or camera we know and love from the original zombie bloodfest back in ’06. So now that the spotlight is back on Frank West, how does he hold up all this time later in Dead Rising 2: Off the Record? READ MORE

Ace Combat: Assault Horizon

By
Posted on October 11, 2011 AT 11:58am
My tastes may trend toward anime-infused RPGs, but whether it's the space duels in Star Fox on the N64, the legendary humans-vs.-Kilrathi matchups in Wing Commander on the PC, or the cartoony jet action of Airforce Delta Strike on the PS2, I’ve always loved a good dogfight. And I’ve certainly enjoyed the Ace Combat series in the past—Namco Bandai’s formerly distinctively Japanese dogfighter that’s now taking a more realistic, Western-inspired bent along the lines of Call of Duty. So, how does this new Ace Combat stack up? READ MORE

EGM Review:
Thor: God of Thunder 3DS

By
Posted on October 3, 2011 AT 05:24pm
So this review is a little late, I know. But the console versions of this game that coincided with the release of the Thor movie really had me scared to sit down and try to get through this 3DS version, which was released at the same time as the movie on DVD/Blu-Ray in September. After reluctantly picking up Thor’s hammer once again though, I can say that Thor: God of Thunder for the Nintendo 3DS is below average, but somehow that’s still better than it’s high-powered console brethren. The Pullbox – Issue #7

By
Posted on September 29, 2011 AT 07:23am
Although a lot may have come out this week, much of it wasn’t nearly as strong or enjoyable as I would have preferred. And because of it, an indie easily topped my list of everything that came out this week. But once you see what it is, I’m sure most of you will understand. So without further ado, here is this week’s Pullbox! READ MORE
