During our DISHONORED hands-off demo at E3 Expo 2012 developers used the phrase ‘play the way you want‘ often as the game offers players a chance to play in shadows or head on.  Dishonored is a new IP coming later this year from Arkane Studios & Bethesda – you play as Corvo Atano a master assassin with plenty of tricks up his sleeve.

For gamers looking to play in stealth – Dishonored will allow you to take possession of people and creatures and quietly sneak around buildings and corridors looking for your assigned kill.  You can easily avoid alarm by staying in shadows, roof-tops and by picking people’s pockets.

Want some all-out action? No problem cause Dishonored has you covered there!  Our demo included brutal slayings with the option to ‘Blink’ from place to place and also the ability to ‘Bend Time’ in order to slow things down long enough for you to defeat overwhelming odds.

During our demo we also witnessed Corvo taking on the giant robotic soldiers with long metallic legs — we’re not quite sure how stealth can be used against these foes but the developers of Dishonored promised us the option!  Be sure to check out our interview with Seth Shane from the development team on more examples of the Dishonored game mechanics in action.
