We’re still waiting on a status update for DOOM 4 but knowing that Bethesda is re-releasing a special edition of DOOM 3 helps assure us that production on Doom 4 is still moving forward!

The Doom 3 BFG edition will include seven new ‘Lost Missions’ and be re-mastered for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 with Achievement and Trophy support.  For those of us who remember playing Doom 3 the first time around you may remember the game being extremely dark and needing a flashlight in just about every level of the game.  Will fans of the Doom series enjoy taking a trip back down memory lane?  We think so – depending on the price point (not yet announced).  At a minimum it will put the Doom franchise back on the radar while things gear up towards the next release.
