The Hobbit An Unexpected Journey is available now on DVD/Blu-ray.  This is the theatrical release with additional materials like 10 video blogs (previously seen online), a short featurette on the various locations and a code to view the upcoming live streaming preview of The Hobbit The Desolation of Smaug on March 24th 2013.

The packaging and presentation is well done and also features trailers for the film and video games.  Fans should probably expect a larger more definitive version of the film in the future but for now this one will do nicely!
