If you are like me, you are still playing Halo 4 and there is probably no end in sight to that because it just came out a month ago. Well, that doesn’t stop the gears of progress as they grind ahead, as it appears that 343 Industries has quietly begun preliminary work on the next installment of the Halo franchise. That’s right, while you were kicking back enjoying Spartan Ops and doing some heavy fragging online, 343 Industries has begun shifting employees from working on supporting Halo 4 to working on the next Halo game.

According to an interview with CVG, Frank O’Connor of 343 Industries made it clear that they are still supporting Halo 4 for the foreseeable future, but that they have definitely begun working on the next Halo game.

As for a season two of Spartan Ops? They aren’t sure yet, bummer.
