3DS XL Set to Come to the States in August
Posted on June 21, 2012 AT 09:50pm
Nintendo certainly dropped a lot on us tonight during their Nintendo Direct conference. One of the main things to come out of their late night address is the release of a new 3DS to come to the US and UK in August.
The 3DS XL will be the big brother of every other model on the market. Upgrading the size of both screens by approximately 90%, the top screen is now 4.88 inches while the bottom screen is 4.18 inches. This new size also comes with a longer battery life, extending the 3DS to between 6-10 hours of continuous play. It seems their is not a consensus yet on the inclusion of an AC adapter in the United States. Some sites say it will not be included while others are saying that is only true for Europe and Asia. Though no worries all your previous 3DS chargers will be compatible.
The 3DS XL is set to come to the west on August 19th and will sell for a retail price of $199.99
