Age of Conan Gets Secrets of Dragon’s Spine

Funcom announced today that they are releasing a series up updates to Age of Conan: Unchained. The updates for thie popular MMO will be called Secrets of Dragon’s Spine and will be spread out over time. The first in the series will be released within the next couple of months and will introduce players to a remote desert region called The Dragon’s Spine. There will be new quests, monsters, dungeons, and rewards.
“Our version of Hyboria has grown into a vast online world since we launched back in 2008,” says Craig Morrison, Creative Director at Funcom. “With the‘Secrets of Dragon’s Spine’ update we are moving into an incredibly exciting part of Robert E. Howard’s work, and I think both ‘Age of Conan’ players and fans of Howard’s work alike will find a lot to enjoy once they get to explore this new content.”
The Secrets of Dragon’s Spine updates will give players a new experience in Hyboria. The desert will be located south and west of Pteion. Completely lifeless and unforgiving, the desert will have on oasis, lying in the shadow of the mountain and containing the only building , the Palace of Cetriss. Do not overlook the secrets that can be found under the sand as well.
If you are a level eighty player, there is some new content withing the updates aimed at you. There will be several new dungeons, a massive new outdoor region, a new mount type that will be revealed later, new raid area and a new PvP area. There will also be new rewards, new weapons, armor sets and other cultural items. The names of the new dungeons are The Sepulchral of the Wyrm, The Slithering Coils, and The Coils of Ubah Kan. They will offer the same kind of selection of experiences as in the previous update, The Savage Coast of Turan.
