Indie game developer, Xitol Softworks Ltd, is bringing FPS multiplayer fans a new offering towards the end of this year. Due out Q4 2012, Zone: The Battlefield already has gamers intrigued. The game is being developed using the Unreal development kit and will be for sale on PC and Mac. Xitol Softworks has promised vast amounts of customization ability and intense action. Each map in the multiplayer will have some sort of connection to a sci-fi storyline, though whether that means there will be a single player game mode remains to be seen.

Xitol Softworks has promised an major announcement regarding Zone: The Battlefield in August so until then we will have to content ourselves with these lovely pictures and the mystery.
