Apparently the Ouya wasn’t enough when it came to a home console based upon the Android operating system as we have a new contender stepping into the ring with GameStick. GameStick is an interesting premise of a game console that is the size of a thumb drive and has a controller that can be used to store the thumb drive-sized console right in a compartment.
It has taken to Kickstarter and asked for a measly $100,000, which it achieved within a day.
There definitely is some promise in this area of gaming, but the question is, are there games? Will consoles like Ouya and GameStick finally bring in developers to Android? I guess the experiment has to be given some time before we see what happens.
