Hello there! My name is James Conrad and I’m new here at DigitalNoob. Already I’m finding that I’m typing faster then the website can keep up. Hopefully that’s not a bad omen for things to come.
I’m a digital artist of sorts, I do many things from pixel artwork to the occasional vector piece. I have always been fascinated with Photoshop and it’s many frustrating wonders. I first got into Photoshop when I was in high school with CS3 Extended and, for better or worse, I’ve been hooked ever since. I currently use Photoshop CS6 Extended and have been known to dabble with Adobe Illustrator, and Premiere Pro as well. These days I mostly write digital art tutorials which I post on deviantART, and more recently, Shadowness, at Oslo’s request, I might add.I also do the YouTube thing with my brother. And I have been known to Tweet.
In the video game world, I consider myself a Nintendo fanatic. I first got into gaming when I revived a Game Boy Color on a fateful Christmas day in 1998, from the everyone’s favorite home invader, Santa Clause. With it, I was also given my first game, Tetris DX in all its 16-bit glory (or 15 if you believe Wikipedia). Fourteen years later, I still have the system and the game. Though the system works like new, despite going through the wash once or twice, according to younger brother, our Tetris cartridge did not stand the test of time and doesn’t save properly. The first game I ever bought was Pokemon Red and later Blue, and I’ve been an avid Pokemon fan ever since. To this day, I still love playing the main series games, having recently bought and beaten White 2. My first home console was the GameCube, since until I was 15, my parents were very anti-video games, and that’s hasn’t changed a whole lot. So much so that my siblings and I were in shock when they gave us a Wii a year after its release. And before anyone asks, I currently have no plans on getting the Wii U, unless that planned Zelda game is better then Wind Waker and Ocarina of Time combined, because TP and SS were good in their own right, but could have been better. Today I currently own a DS Lite, a 3DS, a broken GBA, a GameCube, and, of course, a Wii. My brother is the proud owner of my old GBC and loves it very much.
In life, I attend the local junior college, but once I complete a Polysci and US History classes next semester, I’ll be all set to transfer to a CSU and finish my Applied Mathematics degree in Fall 2013. I am single and always have been for I am foreveralone.jpg, Hope you all enjoy my articles!
