As part of their 10th anniversary celebration, Aspen Comics has released the official press document for the upcoming second volume of the Michael Turner/Frank Mastromauro series Shrugged! It highlights Theo, the lead of the series and his friends as they enter their last year of high school, which is hard enough for the average teen. When Ange and Dev, the two voices that help influence decisions are added to the mix, things will get really complicated. What makes matters worse is that a force of evil is coming back and has some ill intentions in mind, continuing the journey of adventure and intrigue that made the original Shrugged so popular.

This exciting announcement also marks the return of veteran colorist Beth Sotelo, along with the addition of rising star artist Jonathan Marks. Add those special talents to the writing of series co-creator Mastromauro, this Aspen Comics staple is primed to return in a big way. For long time fans of the series, artist Micah Gunnell is also making a return to the series, providing a lead-in between the first volume and the second.

As part of Aspen’s “10 For 10″ campaign, the first issue of the new Shrugged will only be $1, and those who reserve the book can get the special Aspen Reserved cover for the series by Marks and Peter Steigerwald. True Aspen fans can collect the Reserved Editions of all ten anniversary titles to get the chance to receive the very special “Perfect 10s” jam poster celebrating the “10 For 10″ campaign.
