Assassin’s Creed III Gets Season Pass, No Surprise

Posted on October 3, 2012 AT 10:37am

This should come as a surprise to absolutely no one, Ubisoft is giving Assassin’s Creed III the season pass treatment. There will be a total of five downloadable content packs released including one called The Tyranny of King Washington. All DLC packs will contain single player content as well as new multiplayer maps and characters.

The Tyranny of King Washington will be an episodic DLC. It will be released in three packs and will tell the story of how the events of history could have happened. The developers played with history a little bit to create a different type of content.

The season pass will cost $29.99 for Playstation 3 or PC, or 2400 Microsoft Points for Xbox 360 and will translate to a 25% discount on the total cost of all downloadable content if purchased separately. Now the cool part…season pass holders will get DLC packs a week before they are officially released. You can pre-order the season pass at Best Buy or GameStop if you don’t want to wait for it to this the consoles’ online stores.  Buying a Wii U? Don’t worry all DLC will be available on the Wii UTM.

Assassin’s Creed III hits the market on October 30th for Xbox 360 and PS3, November 20th for Windows PC, and November 18th for Wii U.
