Assassin’s Creed III: Liberation Gets A Girl
Posted on June 3, 2012 AT 06:42pm
The latest issue of GameInformer magazine gave some information on the newest Assassin’s Creed game to be ported to a portable device. The PS Vita will be getting Assassin’s Creed 3: Liberation but this time, the game itself doesn’t seem to be connected to the original AC character, Desmond. The main character in Liberation is female and the game’s backdrop is New Orleans but players will travel all the way to Mexico.
Details about what the actual story relates to are sketchy. We do know the female’s assassin’s name is Aveline and the game will take place during the same time period as Assassin’s Creed 3, about 1765-1780. It will feature multiplayer but “specifically tailored to the Vita experience.”
A NeoGAF user posted this: ”The game has been released as a propaganda tool by Abstergo, who want players to experience a gray area of the Assassin/Templar conflict as an assassin rather than a Templar” and the heroine is of “mixed French/Black heritage.”
There is even a trailer on the official Assassin’s Creed YouTube account.
