Assassin’s Creed III Powered By AnvilNext
Posted on August 2, 2012 AT 11:15am

Ubisoft continue to build momentum for the highly anticipated Assassin’s Creed III with this latest trailer focusing on the game’s engine. The trailer describes how AnvilNext is enabling Ubisoft to build the most realistic and detailed world they’ve ever created. The trailer boasts a huge variety of detailed environments and dynamic weather conditions, in addition to huge numbers of NPCs to interact with. The most impressive improvement to the series appears to be the increased complexity of the game’s protagonist, Connor. Ubisoft claim he is their ‘most complex and technically advanced assassin to date’, with ‘over one thousand new animations’.
This is definitely Ubisoft’s most ambitious Assassin’s Creed to date and the level of detail and breadth of the world displayed in this trailer clearly demonstrate that. The animation in particular, looks extremely dynamic. The way Connor’s body adapts when traversing though the diverse sets of trees and branches is superb.
Assassin’s Creed III will be released for Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and PC on October 31st 2012.
