The first issue of the new creator-owned series from publisher Contraband Comics has been announced, and the science-fiction/adventure series Big Hitters looks like its going to be a lot of fun.

As two hitmen for the government move across the galaxy, they find that there are far more seedy and suspicious places than they expected. Available though iVerse’s Comics Plus app exclusively, Big Hitters is looking to mix some of the fun and adventure of the classics in sci-fi and make them their own.

The first issue of the series will be available on Comics Plus for just $.99, and also includes the animated short “Gettim!” which was done by co-creator and artist Travis Sengaus. Sengaus will be joined by Contraband founder and writer Jon Goff, as well as colorist Fco Plascenia and the team at Comicraft Lettering on the project.
