Bio…where?
Posted on July 18, 2012 AT 02:42pm
That’s right, my fellow Sith, SWtOR is seeing some issues with their support. First off, Richard Vogel (VP and Executive Producer who worked on SWtOR) left Bioware voluntarily before the second round of layoffs (confirmed by Gamasutra). His departure has not, as of yet, been confirmed to be linked to the layoffs, but his timing looks like he may have quit in retaliation.
At the current moment, it is not confirmed if these layoffs were due to the huge losses of subscribers, to the proposed restructuring plans or a combination of both. Whatever the reason, I am sure that this means there will be big changes in SWtOR in the near future, as well as in the job market in Austin.
Our sympathies to those effected by this round of layoffs, and best wishes to them, their families and to Bioware in its efforts with SWtOR.
