Image Comics announced that Multiple Warheads, a title written by Brandon Graham and originally printed for Oni Press back in 2007, is back from a lengthy hiatus and will be released as a mini-series by the publisher. Graham, who has gained prominence with his work on the revived Rob Liefeld title Prophets, took his unique vision of comic creation to the next level with Multiple Warheads, focusing on magic organs, werewolf mechanics, and living motorcycles in a fictional version of Russia. Yeah, it’s that kind of title.

“I’m really interested in exploring a big fantasy Russia and letting myself wander off of the main path in a similar way to what I did in King City,” Graham mentioned, “But I want show the bizarre lives of a woman who smuggles magic organs and her werewolf mechanic boyfriend in a kind of matter-of-fact way.”

This strange, futuristic science-fiction title is sure to raise a few eyebrows, but Graham is back and ready to show fans something that took him over five years to get back off the ground. Multiple Warheads will be released by image as a four-issue miniseries in October.
