Just as a warning if you read any further and have not played the first Lords of Shadow, certain things could be spoiled for you. Now then it seems those minions over at Konami have been hard at work on Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2. Sequel to the first game, this follows Gabriel Belmont after he has killed Satan and taken power from the Forgotten One. With this new-found power and ruthless nature Gabriel has became Dracula, the legendary vampire lord. Along with this announcement, a new trailer has emerged featuring who could be the white haired Alucard, a character from the previous iterations of Castlevania. In the new game, I wonder if Gabriel is now considered a Lord of Shadow and now it’s Alucard task to defeat him. I hope that we get to play has both the white haired warrior as well as Gabriel, as this would bring a nice twist to the game play and narrative. To play as the hero, then as the villain to get the full story on both sides would be a refreshing take. One of the things I do look forward to is the music of this sequel because the soundtrack to the first game was in my opinion, the best of any video game to date.

The game will be released for Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 in 2013.
