Today is a good day for comics fans, with major announcements coming from all over the spectrum. Three major publishers have shed some light on the new projects in store from them, including the still under-the-radar but always amazing Valiant Comics, who have been unknowingly (to many fans who only follow the major companies) killing it this year with the relaunch of the Valiant Universe.
Coming from Valiant is the announcement of a brand new major crossover event entitle “The Harbinger Wars”, which is the first event since the revival of the brand. Featuring the popular paths of the Bloodshot universe and the Harbinger universe comes an epic clash that will leave fans wanting more. The event will feature a four issue limited series, as well as issues within both titles, and will begin in March 2013.
Dark Horse has also been busy, and they are pleased to announce the first volume of the Fear Agent library has sold out, and will receive a second printing. Originally an Image title, the book cane to Dark Horse in 2007, and remained until last year. The Rick Remender, Jerome Opeña and Tony Moore story following the life of the last remaining Fear Agent, an elite group of people who helped stave off an alien invasion. The next batch of the collection will be arriving back in stores on April 3rd.
IDW Publishing is bringing an old favorite back as well, with the announcement of a new four-issue limited series featuring the rock empire known as KISS. Chris Ryall and Angel Medina have returned to the KISS franchise, helping work on the release of four KISS Solo issues. The first, featuring Gene Simmons, will be title KISS Solo: The Demon, and will focus on his aptly named alter-ego. With each issue taken directly from solo album material, this should be an interesting ride, especially for KISS fans. The first issue will be in stores on March 3rd.
