Crimes & Punishments: Sherlock Holmes Unveiled
Posted on February 1, 2013 AT 11:34am
Frogwares Studios has announced that the next game in their famous Sherlock Holmes series will be titled Crimes & Punishments: Sherlock Holmes. For the first time, the studio will be abandoning their homemade engine in favor of Epic’s popular Unreal Engine 3, allowing this next game to be a far cry from previous games in the series. The game will take full advantage of the engine’s graphic HD graphics capabilities with such things as dynamic lighting and shadows.
Another change in the series, players will be more then just a mere spectator, and will in fact take control of Sir Arther Conan Doyle’s beloved character, guiding him through 8 captivating cases, each more devious then the last. Each decision made will have effect on the game, changing the path the player takes through each case.
Additionally, Frogwares Studios has abandoned the classic look of Sherlock inspired by the 1960s movies, in favor of a more modern look, matching the artistic ambitions of the title.
