In anticipation of the new Tomb Raider video game, developer Crystal Dynamics has teamed up with a licensed comic book giant in Dark Horse Comics to bring the story of Lara Croft to light in a brand new way. The series looks as though it will take place after the events in the game, bringing Lara back into printed form after her adventures in the Dragon’s Triangle.

Tomb Raider: The Beginning will feature the re-imagined Lara Croft, and was written by the lead writer of the game itself, Rhianna Pratchett and will eventually wind up as a forty-eight page, six part omnibus that will chronicle the tale. Be on the lookout for more news on this exciting series following the release of Crystal Dynamics’ Tomb Raider.

Image Comics also announced that Peter Panzerfaust, the Worl War II re-imagining of Peter Pan by Kurtis J. Wiebe and Tyler Jenkins will be getting a reprint for their incredibly popular eight issue. This is a landmark series in the story, as it marks the first appearance of Kaptian Haken, who is the series villain, Captain Hook. The second printing will feature a brand new cover by Tyler Jenkins, and will release on February 27th.

Russ Pirozek, known as "Noobcrawler" to some, is a gamer and comic book fan who sometimes gets around to writing for DigitalNoob.com. He's also awesome. If someone looked up "awesome" in the dictionary, his picture wouldn't be there, but that's because he's too busy being awesome to pose for a photo.
