Music games are not yet dead according to Dance Central creators, Harmonix. Earlier today, during the Microsoft E3 press conference, Harmonix announced Dance Central 3 with the help of highly acclaimed dancer and singer, Usher.
Harmonix will be adding an eight player multiplayer dance mode, Crew Throwdown, and of course, adding even more songs to the ever expanding Dance Central library. More songs will include hits from the 70s, 80s, and so forth while also learning popular dances like “The Hustle”, “Electric Slide”, and “The Dougie”. The Crew Throwdown pits two teams of up to four players against another team in a head to head blowout of dance moves and little mini games.
With more than 40 tracks on the disc, Dance Central 3 features the most exciting and diverse soundtrack in the franchise to date, including:
- 50 Cent – “In Da Club”
- Cali Swag District – “Teach Me How to Dougie”
- Cobra Starship ft. Sabi – “You Make Me Feel…”
- E.U. – “Da’ Butt”
- Edward Maya & Vika Jigulina – “Stereo Love”
- Gloria Gaynor – “I Will Survive”
- Marcia Griffiths – “Electric Boogie”
- Usher ft. Will.I.Am – “OMG”
- Usher – “Scream”
- Van McCoy – “The Hustle”
While this is not the video they showed at E3, this video will still show the innovations behind Dance Central 3.
So what do you guys think? Are you still playing the previous Dance Central games?
