Posted on November 20, 2012 AT 07:37pm
Dark Horse Comics has been taking major steps into the digital medium over the last year or so, with integration for the Nook, Kobo and most recently, an app on the Android Market. The company announced yet another major step into becoming a high-powered digital publisher by gaining support for the Amazon Kindle.
Making the hundreds of Dark Horse titles that fans know and love available on the Kindle is a big step, as the e-reader is an incredibly popular device, used for comics nearly as often as it is for literature in other forms. Not only will comics such as Mass Effect, Hellboy, andStar Wars be offered through the Kindle Store, their Dark Horse prose selections will be available as well.
In other Dark Horse news, Francesco Frankavilla’s Black Beetle will be releasing a new mini-series in early 2013 entitled “No Way Out”, and there is a major buzz about the hit franchise already. In anticipation of the title, Matt Wagner, whose credited to such series as Grendel and Mage added some incredibly positive feedback for the series in a promotional poster. Get ready for Frankavilla’s prize creation when the series hits early next year.
