A huge announcement coming from WonderCon, as Dark Horse Comics has announced that the hit series Mind MGMT will be getting a full 36-issue run to tie the entire series together. One of the most talked about comics of the year (and one that is being adapted into a movie), Matt Kindt’s surreal mystery title is one that has a ton of fans talking. With issue #13 on the way soon, it looks as though there will be a lot more to this series than originally thought, which is something that fans won’t be complaining about.
Dark Horse also announced a brand new series coming from the company, with Mike Gagerman and Andrew Waller placing a unique perspective on the idea of a long lasting friendship in the mini-series Blood Brothers, a vampire buddy action series. While being friends for nearly a millenium, Nick and Tree have had a lot placed into their path in the more recent times, and are about to go on their own paths. That is, until an evil vampric villain steps in to try and destroy the world, leaving Nick and Tree to put aside their differences and team up to stop him. This series looks like a lot of fun, and will be available starting on July 17th.
IDW Publishing is also making some news, announcing a major collection of the fan favorite G.I. Joe franchise. The first in a series of releases, IDW has announced G.I. Joe: The Complete Collection Vol. 1, a massive hardcover tome that will capture the iconic run of creators Larry Hama and Herb Trimpe. With the new standard collectors editions that IDW is running, the Black and Red label editions will all have their own price points and special things to collect (artwork, signature and the like), and this three hundred page collection will surely have something for everyG.I. Joe fan. Ranging from $125 for the red label edition and $300 for the black label, this edition will surely be moving fast and in limited amounts, so fans should get their copy pre-ordered as soon as possible.
