Dark Horse Comics is happy to announce that in Dark Horse Presents #24, writer Frank Barbiere and artist Micah Kaneshiro will be moving into a new dimension with their new story, Blackout. The story of Scott Travers is pretty calm until he finds a strange piece of technology that gives him the ability to travel into a dimension inside out own, becoming the reality jumping superhero Blackout. Not much else is known about this science-fiction/mystery series, but all will be revealed inside the pages of Dark Horse Presents #24 when it hits shelves on May 22nd.

Dark Horse was also happy to announce that they won some awards during the ceremony of the Stumptown Comic Arts Awards festivities that took place near DH headquarters in Portland, Oregon. This event puts a focus on artists in the comic book industry, and Dark Horse was happy to win in the following categories:

Best Artist

Juanjo Guarnido (Blacksad: A Silent Hell)

 Best Publication Design

Blacksad: A Silent Hell, designed by Cary Grazzini

 Best Cartoonist

Carla Speed McNeil (Finder: Talisman)

Best Letterer

Carla Speed McNeil (Finder: Talisman)

Congrats to both titles for their awards!

Russ Pirozek, known as "Noobcrawler" to some, is a gamer and comic book fan who sometimes gets around to writing for DigitalNoob.com. He's also awesome. If someone looked up "awesome" in the dictionary, his picture wouldn't be there, but that's because he's too busy being awesome to pose for a photo.
