Dark Horse Comics Announces Sellouts, Variants And More!
Posted on January 19, 2013 AT 05:17pm
Dark Horse Comics has made several announcements recently, continuing the list of terrific progress they’ve been making coming into 2013. With new variants, special series announcements and much more, Dark Horse is gearing up towards a big year. The first big announcement this year is that several hit series from the Star Wars universe are being translated into Spanish. Translating titles such as Star Wars: Empire-Betrayal, Clone Wars Adventures and The Defense Of Kamino into Spanish allows a whole new audience to enjoy the great titles in the Star Wars catalog. Also part of the Star Wars announcements, Dark Horse was happy to announce that the first issue of the all new series, written by Brian Wood, has sold out in less than 24 hours. This is huge for the company and the series, and this sell out could be a good omen for the future of the series. Four pencil variants were also announced for the first four issues of the new series, all presented as pencil sketches done by the terrific Alex Ross.
Also announced by Dark Horse were two more sellouts for the hit series Hellboy In Hell, whose second issue has sold out. This series, featuring the return of series creator Mike Mignola, has already been a major success, and more great sales is sure to be underway soon. Francisco Francavilla has also seen some great success with his critically acclaimed Black Beetle series. The zero issue has already sold out, and with the amount of praise the series has gotten, this series should be expected to do very well in the future.
Donny Cates and Eliot Rahal have also come together to bring a fun new series to the legendary Dark Horse Presents. The series, Hunter Quaid, follows time-traveling alcoholic detective Quaid on his adventures, which aren’t always what they seem.
Dark Horse Comics is moving towards a great year, and these terrific announcements are only adding to the excitement.
