Dark Horse Comics Relaunches “The Strain” On Geek And Sundry
Posted on September 26, 2012 AT 06:51pm
The Strain is the latest series to get put into motion comic form as it debuted today on Geek And Sundry, the YouTube channel started by actress/writer/producer/awesome person Felicia Day, of The Guild fame. The series, which is running as a monthly comic through dark Horse Comics, originally started as a novel trilogy by legends of film and literature Guillermo Del Toro and Chuck Hogan. The comic itself has been a big hit so far, and this new motion comic is sure to be as well, both for the series itself and for the channel, which has struck up a partnership with Dark Horse, likely because of Day’s prior work with them on The Guild and Dragon Age titles.
The series itself focuses on a new strain of vampires that are part of a mysterious plane crash that the CDC and Doctor Ephriam Goodweather have no real explanation for. The only one who seems to have any idea of whats going on is a strange old man from Harlem, who is the sole person suspicious this may be something other than a viral outbreak or strange occurrence.
Check out the motion comic in its entirety below, and make sure to check out more from Geek And Sundry, which is a terrific channel full of interesting videos and topics.
