Dark Horse Gives Free Comic Book Day A Digital Touch, IDW Publishing Expands Its Staff

Posted on May 7, 2013 AT 08:46pm

With Free Comic Book Day behind us, Dark Horse Comics is giving fans a taste of the festivities. With only two books released by the company for the event, demand was high and not everyone was able to give the books a look. To help remedy that, Dark Horse is releasing both titles through their Dark Horse Digital platform, available for free through the application. Both the Mass Effect/R.I.P.D./Killjoys and Star Wars/Captain Midnight/Avatar titles can be found through the DH Digital app or online, with no charge to fans for getting their hands on a copy of the great work put out by Dark Horse this Free Comic Book Day.

IDW Publishing is also happy to make a major announcement, as they have begun a new phase in their already impressive work. To help coordinate the slew of new titles they’ve announced, the company has released the news that Sarah Gaydos will be joining the team as a new member of the Editing Staff. Coming from the DC Comics/Wildstorm imprint, Gaydos will likely be working as an editor through some of their new titles, including Locke & Key: Alpha, Black Dynamite, Samurai Jack, and more. Congratulations to Sarah and IDW Publishing on this great new partnership.
