D&D: Dungeon Command Mini Skirmish Game Released
Posted on July 17, 2012 AT 10:00am
As an old school Dungeons and Dragons players (I’m talking THAC0, people), I’m always excited to see what Wizards of the Coast will bring to the table next. Today, a new head to head skirmish game involving minis was released under the title ofDungeon Command. For two to four players, the game features themed faction groups and where skill reigns and Lady Luck doesn’t have a say in how the game goes. And don’t think youhave to stick with what is in the preconstructed groups; mix and match and create an army of your liking!
Each faction comes with their own colorful back, filled with twelve pre-painted plastic minis, game cards, tiles, and rules for the game. Sting of Lolth focuses on the beings of the Underdark; assassins, arachnomancers, sorcerer, spiders, and spiderguards can be found lurking around while Heart of Cormyr feature characters that you would find in your typical heroic D&D parties: rangers, rogues, knights, defenders, and warriors.
Don’t think that these minis are restricted to just Dungeon Command. Collect and build up a massive world of creatures and beasts for the D&D Roleplaying Game, and their cards give them the ability to be used with the D&D Adventure System board games!
Each faction pack is $39.99, and more details can be found at DungeonsandDragons.com.
