Demon’s Souls, the predecessor to Dark Souls, is heading to the Playstation Network Store on January 8th for a cool $19.99. To celebrate, ATLUS is arranging for a full week of “Pure White Tendency” to help players out. Pure White will make the difficulty a little easier by giving players the ability to inflict more damage when they attack. However, enemies will have more HP, attack power and defense so it won’t be a walk in the park. Additionally, there will be more health drops, fewer stone drops, new areas opened and new NPCs. You will have to search the latter two out but they will be there. The Pure White event will take place from January 8-14, 2013.

Still unsated, he returned again to the Nexus, where he foolishly awakened the Old One from its eternal slumber. This long forgotten evil, now wrought upon Boletaria, plunged the realm into darkness and fog. A mighty demon horde poured into the kingdom, devouring the souls of men.
Champions from other realms learned of Boletaria’s fate and sought to deliver the kingdom from evil; none would return from the cursed land. Called upon by a mysterious maiden in black, you go forth, the last hope for humanity in a place lost to demons and darkness…
